I would like to wish Athboy Macra and Paddy Meade, North Meath, Co. Meath all the best in the National finals of both competitions. Go on the Royals!! (",)
Its great to have a sponsor like AIB that continue to support this competiton and I think that it really adds to the National Conference.

A HAPPY Macra member makes a GOOD Macra member (",)

Well done to all the clubs in the final 6 and the 12 best new members. Watch out for Treble R, they have really transformed as a club in the past year and have an excellant committee and great members running the club there. I have my money on them!! Good luck to Damien Whelan from Moore , Co Roscommon who is in the last 12 of the best new member competition, he is doing a really excellent job with his club and county!!
Best wishes to all who've made it through to the final cut in both ompetitions. Best of luck especially to Laois' Ned Greene and Olga Parkinson in the Best New Member final.
Only been in Macra a year, there’s very little I know, I guess that’s why I’m a “new member”, thought I think Athboy are serious contenders, while being “new” I can’t say I know a whole lot, though that’s never stopped me from talking before so here go’s- Athboy town – is like the closest place to Macravill as a town can get, they got the Blue Jeans Festival every year, they got there own hall in the middle of town, and like as a neighbouring club you got to be a little gallous of how good an operation they run. Last week they had 5 Macra bands playing for charity. They more members that can play music, sing and dance (at the same time –of course) than the average club has in members. So that’s who I’m supporting, though I’m from Meath and think every thing in meath is better than every thing else in the world – so what do I know..lol Paddy Meade, North Meath, Co. Meath. p.s. thanks Lady for the Birthday, reminder,
Best of luck to Laois's Ned Greene of East Laois Club and Olga Parkinson of Camross Club in the Best New Member final. These two clubs have really blossomed thanks to members like Ned and Olga.
